The Hilly Region:->

           The hilly region is situated in the central part of the country .It spreads from Mechi in the east to Mahakali in the west. It occupies 68%of the total land area of the country as compared to Himalayan region and Terai region .This region is full of high hills and rocks. There are some valleys like Pokhara , Kathmandu etc. this region lies at a fairly high altitude with respect to the sea level. So, due to this reason this region has a moderate type of climate which is neither too hot nor too cold .This region it receives heavy rainfall from June to September, it also receives winter rain but mostly in the western part of this region. This region is the center of Education in the country. Students from all over the world go to get education at different levels to Kathmandu, Pokhara, Tansen, Dhankuta, Birendra Nagar etc. There are many schools and colleges and three universities in this region. This region is the most developed part in education throughout the country
